Teeth Whitening

Now who doesn't want their teeth to be pearly white? I know personally, teeth are the first thing i notice when talking to a person. I could care less what they look like, but they must have a good set of chompers. There are several ways to whiten your teeth.
1. Go to the Dentist, BUT if your like me, that's not an option because I start to cry as soon as I sit in the chair.

2. Whitening Strips: Let me just say, POINTLESS. It's like putting plastic wrap on your teeth (and remember the last plastic wrap experiment?) Once the plastic wrap is on, you sit there and drool for the 30 minutes. I'm around enough dogs each day (being a trainer), so I don't need to drool on myself

So of course, that leads me to Pinterest and the bright ideas they have. The only ingredients you will need are baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, toothbrush and toothpaste. If you don't brush your teeth, then you can not perform this DIY.

Step 1: Take a mouthful of peroxide and swish in your mouth for 1 minute. Shoot, my jaw started hurting after 30 seconds, so I stopped there... I guess I have to work those muscles some more.

Step 2: Then spit that shit out! Enough said

Step 3: Put your toothpaste on the toothbrush and then dab in the baking soda.

Now, the easy part.. brush your teeth

Let me tell you how to prepare for this DIY. Take a handful of sand and rub it on your teeth, because that's what it is like when brushing your teeth with the baking soda. Normally, I enjoy brushing my teeth (who are we kidding) but this would make me get dentures.

Conclusion: It works! This is definitely a thumbs up Pinterest "pin". Besides the nasty ass taste, it actually has made my teeth more white. Your suppose to do this procedure once a week for 5 weeks. I saw results as soon as my second time doing it

At Home Body Wrap

So for my first attempt at a wonderful Pinterest idea, I decided to do the body wrap. It sounded easy. Put on some lotion type stuff mixed with a vitamin, wrap yourself in plastic wrap (like a mummy),  cover up with lots of blankets, sweat your butt off, and BAM!! your suppose to lose a couple inches everywhere! So this is how it went for me

Step 1: I easily collected the ingredients at the local walmart for around $14

Step 2: I mixed the "Farewell Cellulite" with the vitamin E oil
*What I didn't like about this "Pin" was that it didn't tell how much to add of each ingredient*

Step 3: I rubbed the mixture on the places that I wanted to lose inches. If I had 10 bottles of each, I would have rolled in a bathtub of this stuff, since it's easier for me to find a place where I don't want to lose inches...

Step 4: I took plastic wrap and wrapped it tightly around the areas that I covered with mixture, which was my thighs and arms
Step 5: Look ridiculous with all that darn plastic wrap around your body

Step 6: I covered up with 2 blankets for an hour so I would sweat off those inches.

To be honest, I sweated more when trying to wrap myself in plastic wrap, than when I did laying down with 2 blankets on me. I seriously have lost more inches typing this post than what this "Pin" did for me. So my conclusion would be... To not waste your $14, nor the time! All I got out of this was a stupid photo of myself and a rash from the plastic wrap rubbing my body

*Oh and I did measure my arms and legs before and after, and they were exactly the same*

Ones to Look Forward to!

Sunday, August 12: At Home Bodywrap

Wednesday, August 15: Body Scrub

Friday, August 17: Button Bobby pins

These are just some that i've been wanting to try for awhile. If you follow me on Pinterest, you can look at my boards and get an idea on what else i will be trying out. I've already had an idea to try out glitter glasses so that will be accomplished in the next couple of weeks

PS: If you click the titles, it sends you to the websites of each, but I will be posting each step to all of them

And so it Begins...

I'm sure I am not the only one, but as I'm pinning all those wonderful DIY ideas from Pinterest, I'm thinking if their actually going to work. And of course, as I'm "pinning" I'm telling myself that I will have to do this by tomorrow. The end results? I've done absolutely none of them, and there they sit on my boards. What would be the point of Pinterest, if those ideas were not being used? So here I am! Each week, I will take about 2-3 ideas from Pinterest and actually DO THEM! I'll waste my time to let y'all know if it's worth your time. If you have any ideas from your board that you would like me to do, send them my way and I'll add it to the list.Thumbs up and wish me luck!
